Greens Aeration Today

The crew started early this morning with the headlights to get ahead on today's greens aeration. The greens will be aerated today using smaller golfer friendly 1/4" tines which will ensure minimal disruption while providing some relief from compaction and thatch accumulation.

The scheduled greens aeration with 3/8" tines a week ago was cancelled after a 40mm storm came through the area.  As a result, this year's Director's Day last Friday was played on smooth non-aerated greens for a change making for some prime conditions for the event.  The cooler weather that day shyed a few away from participating in the golf  but that didn't keep people away from the dinner portion of the event.

At the annual Directors Day dinner, the Club celebrated over 80 years of service from three distinguished employees.  Congratulations Ronnie Borne (40+), Andrea Healey (20+)and Jim Flett (20+). Presented by Club President, Tom Blackmore (left) and General Manager, Trevor Noonan (right).
