Roofing in progress on the boathouse May 25th |
Another 28mm of rain fell yesterday. A mix of sun and cloud. High 16. UV index 7 or high. Tonight it will be cloudy with 40 percent chance of drizzle. Low 11. The course is wet but the pumps are running around the clock to help drain the property.
Golf carts ARE PERMITTED today. Please avoid low areas and puddles. Keep on paths where provided and obey cart traffic signs and white lines.
Greens are rolling smooth from all the rolling and topdressing, but are slow with all the rain we've had. Green speed is 7.5 feet. Hopefully drier weather prevails to get the speeds up a bit for the 25th Annual DAVE ELLIS PRO AM this Monday May 30th.
Next week the fairways will be VERTICUT and TOPDRESSED starting after the Dave Ellis Pro Am tournament. This process will eliviate the thatchy conditions that have built up from minimal aerfication that can be carried out. Thin turf areas on some of the dryer fairways will be overseeded with bentgrass to get into the slits before topdressing.

We will start on the back 9 to get the work done and get out of the way before the LADIES GOLF CAMP this coming Thursday and Friday June 2 and 3rd.
Just a reminder that the GREENS and TEES will be AERATED starting Monday June 6 and 7th. The Wednesday June 8th will be used if a rain day is necessary.
At the TENNIS FACILITY four courts are ready for use for the weekend. However with the wet weather, the lines still need to be installed on the remaining 2 courts, and the acrylic paint needs to be applied to the newly resurfaced hard court.
A reminder that the JUNIOR ONLINE REGISTRATION is up and running for those signing up for junior programs.
