July 18th

A wet morning at the course

A thunderstorm has been rolling through the course from the north west over Georgian Bay here early this morning bringing 20mm of rain so far leaving standing water on the property.

Golf cart use is SUSPENDED at this time until futher notice this morning.  We are still waiting for the all clear signal from the Strikeguard system to allow us to get out onto the course to access any damage.  Green speed is an estimated 8.5 feet with excess moisture conditions and the cancellation of mowing.

Today Environment Canada is calling for there to be showers with a few thunderstorms ending this morning then cloudy with 40 percent chance of showers. Risk of a thunderstorm this afternoon. High 24. UV index 4 or moderate. Tonight: Clearing late this evening. Low 16.

Yesterday in Tennis we congratulate winners Sally Kent & Janet Dunbar in the Ladies' Tennis Doubles and Andy & Peter Burgess in Men's Tennis Doubles.
