May 8th

Greens will be topdressed today

Today Environment Canada is calling for periods of rain ending this morning then cloudy with a High of 15 and UV index of 4 or moderate Tonight will be partly cloudy with a Low of plus 4.

Golf carts ARE PERMITTED. Please stay to paths where provided whenever possible as the course received 2 mm of rain last night.

Today Fairway topdressing will continue and Greens topdressing will commence after the fog has lifted. We will also be seeded weak areas on 14 and 15 greens with T-1 bentgrass to take advantage of the moist and warmer soil conditions.

An application of Gypsum (Calcium Sulphate) will be applied and watered in following topdressing. The calcium will help with our soil deficiencies without raising our pH levels and aid in root development.
