June 29th

For your convenience, today's yardage now displayed for walkers before No. 12 tee
Today as we lead in to the holiday weekend, the weather forecast has changed for the better with shower activity changed to sunshine!  Today will be sunny with a high of 27. Wind becoming west 20 km/h gusting to 40 near noon. UV index 7 or high. Tonight: It will be clear with wind west 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming light this evening. Low 16.

Golf carts ARE PERMITTED for full use today.  Please scatter cart traffic and use cart paths where provided.  Stay well back 30 feet from green surrounds and please do not cross over white lines.

The Manny Zerman Short Game clinic continues down at the range today.

Today is a routine mow and course set day in prep for the weekend.  There are no major projects or cultural practices scheduled.

For added convenience a new sign was placed near the bottom of the hill on No. 12 tee displaying today's yardage to allow golfers who walk to leave their bags to bring the required club(s).

Weevil damage still evident on isolated spots on select tees
There remains a little damage on isolated areas on certain tees from the ANNUAL BLUEGRASS WEEVIL. The areas have been sprayed with insecticide and overseeded so we should see signs of recovery over the next week or so.

Tomorrow (Saturday) we begin the trial of the two start times BEFORE 7am starting at 6:42 on Saturdays ONLY.  This was put in place due to the interval of tee times changed from every 7 min to every 9 minutes which lost two tee times during the day as a result.  Therefore the back 9 start time will be an hour later at 7:42am instead of 8:00am.

Please do your part and please remember to fix your ball marks and repair fairway and rough divots with the seed bottles/tubes.  Refill stations are currently being built to house divot tubes.  They will be available on tees No. 5 and No. 14 tees and be installed before next weekend.

Have a great weekend and h
ope to see everyone at the opening cocktail party Saturday night!
