Remember to fix divots and ball marks this busy time of year |
It's Pro's Day at the Club today with a double shotgun at 8 am and 1:30 pm.
It's been dry for so long we decided to start a drought tracker. It's now been 58 days since we've had a significant rainfall! (1" or 25mm or more rain)
Today Environment Canada is calling for it to be sunny this morning then becoming a mix of sun and cloud near noon. Wind becoming southwest 20 km/h late this morning. High 30. UV index 8 or very high. Tonight: It will be clear with southwest 20 km/h wind becoming light this evening. Low 17.
Golf carts are permitted. However please keep carts on paths where provided and stay back from green surrounds where indicated by white lines. Scatter cart traffic to avoid concentrated wear on turf. Please remember to fix your ball marks and fill divots.
A reminder that greens will be topdressed tomorrow morning (weather permitting). This process will be done after select green locations are aerated with 1/4" tines and overseeded with bentgrass to promote stronger bentgrass turf where poa annua has declined in heat in the last month.
Have a great round!
