Winter Going Out Like A Lion

Winter conditions prevail and course remains fully snow covered on April 4, 2013

Well it's now the first week of April the calendar says...  Normally spring is in the air by now with melting snow, ditches flowing, the smell of thawing ground and the sound of the returning birds.  However this year winter has decided to go out like a lion and the weather still feels like mid March!

There is still full snow cover over the entire course and we are anxious to get started on the prep work for the coming season.  We had scheduled the return of the spring cleanup crew for next week starting on April 8th, but that has been postponed and we will be lucky to get them started for another couple of weeks on April 22nd.

For obvious reasons at this time we are unable to give a full report on overwintering success.  We will provide a full update once the course has bared off.

Hopefully once things turn around with the weather it will stay nice to enable us to catch up with the backlog of required spring preparations.

At this time we are looking at an anticipated Course Opening Date of Friday May 10th.  We will keep you posted on what is happening.  Looking forward to seeing everyone back on the course in another month.
