July 28th

July 25th

The rough on the right side of 4 was punched, seeded then topdressed Thursday. It has been roped off to ensure proper germination of the seed.

WEATHER CONDITIONS
There was lots of rain last night which has resulted in very wet conditions throughout the course. Todays high will reach 20 with a 60 percent chance of rain later this afternoon and also a possible thunder shower.
DRIVING RANGE CLOSURE
The pumps at the range continue to work great and the ditches have all dried up throughout the property which has helped dry down the area.
The Driving Range remains open for PARTIAL USE ONLY while hand picking is still required but we anticipate a FULL USE OPENING soon as we are close to allowing the ball picker run! We will reassess the situation this coming Friday.  For now we ask that you hit only from the stations that are set up, and only at the flagsticks set up (yardages are indicated on the permanent marker). The range will be closed during certain times to hand pick as needed, and for Junior Clinics. Thank you for your understanding during this wet season with high lake levels.  It's been a battle!

GOLF CART USAGE
Golf carts are available today for full use BUT due to the heavy rain we received over night, we ask that you please use caution while driving throughout the course. Try and stay on high areas and use the 90 degree rule where cart paths are provided.

COURSE CONDITIONS
Greens - Were cut today but were not rolled due to the soft conditions. Greens speeds will be slower today due to the rain we have received but should be back up to speed after things dry out.
The sodded areas on 1,2, and 10 were cut today. These areas are still being mowed at a slightly higher height of cut to ensure proper rooting. The sodded area on the back left of 2 continues to be roped off. Giving newly laid sod some TLC will benefit its playability in the long run.
Rough - Was cut Friday.
Bunkers - The bunkers took quite the hit last night because of the heavy rain. They will be pumped and raked as best we can with the weekend skeleton crew. They will be fully tended too Monday when we have a full staff available.
Ground Under Repair - Treat all new sodded areas IN ROUGH as 'ground under repair'.  No. 18 fairway has been overseeded to recover ice damage.  Treat any bare areas on No. 18 as 'ground under repair'. Ropes may sag throughout the day but we please ask that you still stay off those areas. Seed needs no traffic for proper germination and development into a healthy turf plant.
Course Etiquette - Please remember to repair ball marks and replace divots.  If carrying your golf bag and using the sand tubes, please use on FAIRWAYS ONLY.  Do not use sand tubes or bottles to fix tee divots!!!  It's the golf course maintenance staff responsibility to repair all tee divots on a periodic basis.  Using the sand and seed mix on tees will deplete your available material for fixing fairway divots prematurely!  We also use a different seed on the tees for shadier conditions and quicker germination.
Driving Range - The pumps at the range continue to work great and the ditches have all dried up as well which has helped dry down the area.
The Driving Range remains open for PARTIAL USE ONLY at this time while hand picking is still required. We ask that you hit only from the stations that are set up, and only at the flagsticks set up (yardages are indicated on the permanent marker). The range will be closed during certain times to hand pick as needed, and for Junior Clinics. Thank you for your understanding during this wet season with high lake levels.  It's been a battle!  With the drier weather the water levels are dropping and ditches are getting lower allowing us to get ahead of the standing water.

Have a great round!
