Non-sodded areas on No. 14 and 17 greens slitseeded today to promote more bentgrass after Velocity spray.

Hot humid weather has returned to Muskoka reminding us that it is truly July.  Yesterday's high reached 28 degrees and the night low maintained 20 degrees.

COURSE PLAYABILITY
Greens - Greens will mowed this morning.  Green speeds are running at 9-9.5 feet.  Select areas on the back 9 will be 1/4" core aerated and overseeded today.  Sections on greens 5, 7, 12, 18 will be slitseeded as well to provide extra overseeded coverage in addition to 1/4" cores.  No. 14 and 17 greens will be double slit-seeded in the unsodded areas treated with Velocity to promote bentgrass in these areas.
Tees - Primo Maxx will be sprayed on the tees this morning to regulate excessive vertical growth and promote more density.
Driving Range -  The driving range is still closed until further notice.  We are starting to gain with the three pumps running to draw down the large amount of water which fell last week.  We will have some limited hitting stations open for the weekend to hit to the high and dry target greens.
Bunkers - All bunkers will be hand raked today and later grass trimmed around the edges.
Ground Under Repair - Treat all new sodded areas IN ROUGH as 'ground under repair'.  No. 18 fairway has been overseeded to recover ice damage.  Treat any bare areas on No. 18 as 'ground under repair'.
Course Etiquette - Please remember to repair ball marks and replace divots.  If carrying your golf bag and using the sand tubes, please use on FAIRWAYS ONLY.  Maintenance staff repairs all tee divots and uses a different seed then what is used on fairways.
