Congratulations goes out today to Geoff Weiss & Chris Besse who took home the 2014 Challenge Cup shooting a net 62. Congratulations also goes out to Robin Dunbar for his first hole-in-one at the club on 9 green yesterday, from 195 yards. Today is the Family Golf Tournament with an afternoon shotgun going off at 1:00 PM, check with the proshop to see if there are any space still available. There will be regular play in a 8:00 AM shotgun this morning and tee times following the event at 6:00 PM.
Environment Canada is calling for a few showers this morning, with a 60% chance of rain and thunderstorms this afternoon, a high of 23 and a UV index of 6 or high. the Course has received just over 1.5mm of rain this morning. Please remember to fix your ball marks, and replace any large divots in the fairways. Carts ARE available for full use today, please stay on paths where provided and please avoid low lying areas.
Monday morning the greens will be sprayed with Primo Maxx Growth Regulator, on Tuesday morning the Greens will be lightly topdressed and vented to help promote plant health. We will follow up with a roll and a fertilizer application.
The Final Round of the British Open will be played this morning at Royal Liverpool, with Rory McIlroy leading the way at -16, 6 shot ahead of Rickie Fowler. They Tee off at 9:40 Eastern Time.
