Back In The Cool Again

Fairways roped to remove dew before yesterday's Primo Spray
Monday and Tuesday were the typical hot and sunny days you'd expect for July. Temperatures nearly topped the 30 degree mark and the humidity was high.

Today we are back into the cool with a high of only 21 degrees after a nice light rain shower early last evening.  These are perfect temps for golf and for minimal stress on the turf.  The long range forecast is predicting temperatures to stay pretty moderate through all next week leading into the Civic long weekend.

We are also back in the pink again this morning as Ladies' Day is set to go with an 8am shotgun start.  Ladies will tee off the regular green blocks this morning.

The greens will be cut, the pins changed, and the bunkers will all be raked, and some rough cut before this morning's event.

Being Wednesday, the driving range main deck is closed for maintenance from 9:30am to 1:00pm.  The new driving net will be open for those who would like to hit balls during the closure.  The range will be mowed and groomed and the divots will be filled on the tee deck.  Some Par III herbicide will be sprayed in select areas around the tees and chipping area.

Greens venting yesterday went along smooth with two machines out to complete necessary process

Yesterday's greens venting went very well.  After the procedure was completed, the putts were rolling great after being rolled.

Early this morning the tees were sprayed with Primo Maxx growth regulator and some foliar fertilizer to moderate vertical growth of the turf and provide balanced nutrition.

Tomorrow morning the greens will be sprayed with Oars wetting agent to help prevent the onset of localized dry spot and to allow the downward penetration of water deep down into the rootzone.

Enjoy your round!
