Muskoka Lakes Association Regatta

Participants at last years MLA Regatta

On its 121st year the MLA Regatta is taking place down on the shores of Lake Rosseau. Beautiful weather is expected for the day, it will be cloudy in the morning with a high of 26 and a UV index of 6 or high. There is a 40% chance of rain, but lets hope it holds off until Monday.

The course will be fully prepared today with greens being mowed and rolled, bunkers raked, pins changed, and all tee blocks being moved around. The crew will be sent out after their morning jobs to fill in some divots on the par 3's and select par 4's. Carts are available for full use today, please remember to stay on cart paths when you can and also avoid any low spots. the Fairways will not be as firm as they have been the last couple of days as we had to water in the fertilizer that we applied yesterday.
16-2-15 Applied and watered in on all Fwys

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the mid-summer mixed golf event with a regular shotgun at 8:00 am, and the main event going off at 1:00 pm. There may still be room available so check in with Jordan at the proshop. Also there will not be a men's day on Monday it will in turn take place on Tuesday at the regular time of 1:30 pm, due to the holiday.

Thursday morning the greens will receive a verti-cut to help remove unwanted thatch, they will be followed up with some seed, sand and granular fertilizer on Friday morning.

Enjoy your round, and your long weekend!!
