Rain Clearing For Ladies Day

Rain system heading north-east of course this morning

A rain system passed by us early this morning, but it looks like the bulk of the rain is past us for this morning's Ladies' Day event.

The ladies are playing off the pink blocks this morning.  The greens were mowed and the pins changed to their preferred locations.  The bunkers were hand hand raked in front of play.

Today is maintenance day on the driving range.  The range will be closed from 9:30am to 1:00pm for mowing and divot repair.

BUNKER SAND TRIAL - AUGUST 25TH

This Monday August 25th, their will be a special BUNKER SAND TRIAL from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the south driving range bunker.  We encourage all members to come out to test and rate the four sands placed in the bunker.  Those who participate will be entered in a draw for a new sand wedge!  If your playing in the morning shotgun or the afternoon Men's Day, be sure to come by.  A Hutcheson Sand technical representative will be on site to provide information and answer any questions.  

Bunker sand trial at driving range - Mon Aug 25, 12-1pm

The new fabric replacement building at the upper yard continues to make progress.  With a little cooperation in the weather the building should be completed this week.

Steel walls, end wall framing and fabric roof in place Tuesday

The lower branches in the pine grove over by the newly seeded sodbed left of No. 15 was pruned yesterday to allow more morning sunlight into the establishing bentgrass turf.  The saplings around the grove will be removed in the future and mulch placed in area to give a cleaner look more like the pine grove in behind No. 8 green.
