| Full moon over 10 fairway this morning |
This morning the crew started the daily mow and course setup routine in the light of the full moon!
We made it through the heatwave unscathed with some careful adjustments to our mowing and watering practices to focus on turf health over green speed. With the break in the heat wave, the Wiley rollers were put back on the greens mowers to replace the less stressful solid rollers. The greens were also brushed before cutting, so the combination of the two with this morning's roll should add some speed back to the greens.
The crew will focus on repairing some fairway divots in landing areas today before the busy weekend during this peak summer period.
Please remember to fix your ball marks (and one other) during this busy holiday weekend.
Next week the fairways and greens will receive a light topdress to firm up the playing surfaces.
