Golf Tips and Important Golf Events

Golf Tips of the Week - By Jordan Nathan, Golf Professional

Hole 9

"With this hole being a long par 3, you may not be able to reach the green with your tee shot. If this is the case, play a tee shot of about 150 yards from the gold tee or 140 yards from the green tee. This will leave you a pitch shot short of the green on a flat lie."

Hole 10
"If you are chipping to a back hole location on this green, you are better off landing the ball on the front of the green with a lower lofted shot and having it roll to the hole. Trying to carry a pitch shot to the back of the green often results in the ball going too far."

Hole 11
"This green is very deep. A yellow flag generally means an addition of 15 to 20 yards onto your distance to the middle of the green."

Hole 12
"If you are playing from the greenside bunker, always play your sand shot to the front of the green. The slope of the green will allow the ball to roll down."
