Storm passing through course early this morning
Today the course is being setup in preparation for this morning's Ladies' Day shotgun at 8 am.
A storm is just passing over us at this time with 8mm of rain falling so far and looks like it should clear within the next hour or so in time for Ladies' Day.
Today Environment Canada is calling for it to be cloudy with 70 percent chance of showers changing to 30 percent chance of showers this morning. Clearing this afternoon. High 26. UV index 3 or moderate. Tonight: Clear with a low of 11.
Golf carts ARE permitted. Green speed is 8.5 feet with wet conditions after storm.
Driving range tee took a beating this holiday weekend
The driving range will be closed today for maintenance from 9:30 to 12pm during the ladies' day. The driving range tee will be fully filled with sand and seed to recover tee from onslaught of divots from this past busy weekend.
Back of chipping green will be sodded once heat wave passes
The back of the chipping green area has been used for sod plugs this season to repair green expansion areas and weak turf behind 12 green from Cork tree roots. This sod matches the turf to blend in better and survive with the greens on the course. We will start to prep the area so in the very near future the area can be sodded once the heat wave has passed. Sorry for the inconvenience.
A reminder that greens will be vented and topdressed tomorrow morning (August 4th).
