First Primo Maxx application to fairways today

We received a trace of rain overnight, but nothing significant.  We've had very little rain since the first week in May contributing to the fast and firm conditions experienced this past weekend.

This will be a challenging week for accomplishing any additional projects with the short week after a long weekend and the Club Wide Staff Training scheduled Thursday.  It's all we can do to just keep the basic routine tasks going, and still staying on our cultural program.

Golf carts ARE PERMITTED today for full use.  Please follow cart signs and keep back from green surrounds not entering beyond the white lines.

Greens will be VERTICUT and TOPDRESSED this morning.  The first Primo Maxx spray on fairways will also be applied.  Primo Maxx is a growth inhibitor that promotes lateral growth while minimizing top-growth to reduce clipping yield.  There is also the benefit of pre-stress conditioning of the turf plant before the heat of the summer.

Bunkers will be sprayed this morning with Roundup to kill any remaining weeds.  Paths will be sprayed later in the week.

The resodding of the clubhouse will be done next week with more time available to schedule the work.
