August 16th

Busy cultural week planned after club champs to aid recovery from summer heat and drought
It's a busy day on the course today with an 8:30 shotgun for the Interclub against Beaumaris and then this afternoon's Junior Championships.

Golf carts ARE PERMITTED.  Please avoid wet areas and keep carts on paths where provided.  Remember to fix your BALL MARKS and DIVOTS.

A fungicide application is being sprayed on greens first thing this morning of HERITAGE and DACONIL for broad spectrum control of dollar spot, anthracnose, summer patch and pythium.

A reminder that greens will be vented and topdressed this coming Tuesday August 21st following the Club Championships.  Select thin green expansion areas will be aerified using 1/2" tines and overseeded to aid in recovery from heat and drought stress causing thinning this summer.  Fairway expansion areas will be topdressed to level and cover overseeded areas.

Have a great round!
