August 21st

Greens maintenance day planned to recover course from summer heat and drought
Today there is a greens maintenance day planned to vent and topdress the greens and aerify the struggling green expansion areas that have suffered from the heat and drought of the summer.  The greens will be overseeded with T-1 bentgrass to help establish a hardier grass that can withstand the summer and winter stresses.  The fairway expanded areas will also be topdressed over the next couple of days to help level the areas that have been overseeded a couple of weeks ago before all the rain.

Today Environment Canada is calling for a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 percent chance of showers this morning. High 23. UV index 5 or moderate. Tonight: A few clouds. Low 9.

Golf carts are permitted today for full use.  Please scatter cart traffic and remember to fix your ball marks and divots.

If you come in contact with a green that is currently being vented or aerified, the automatic two putt rule comes into effect.  Thanks for your patience with this necessary procedure.

Have a great round!
