October 10th

Drill and fill machines all working yesterday on No. 11 green and expansion area
It's looking like a wet day developing here with a large system moving in from the west over Georgian Bay early this morning.  Environment Canada is calling for a few showers beginning early this morning and ending this afternoon then 60 percent chance of showers later this afternoon. Wind becoming west 30 km/h this morning. High of 11. Tonight: Partly cloudy with 60 percent chance of showers. Wind west 20 km/h becoming light late this evening. Low plus 1.

The drill and fill process on our soil greens went well yesterday with the weather cooperating with clear skies and windy conditions.  A total of 9 greens were completed yesterday as well as the approaches on No. 11 and 1.  The back 9 was closed to drill and fill 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 17 and the chipping green.  Later in the day greens 1 and 8 were completed.  Today we hoped to finish the remainder of greens No. 2 and No. 4 plus approaches on No. 2, 3, 6, 7 and 9.

After the drill and fill was completed the greens were cleaned off, rolled, topdressed and matted to re-smooth the surface and fill all the holes.

Golf carts ARE permitted today.  However with wet conditions please keep carts to paths and avoid any wet areas will travelling around the course.

Have a great round!
