| Fairway topdressing to be completed today before rain tomorrow |
Today will be mainly sunny and dry with a high of 23 degrees which will be perfect for drying the sand in today's scheduled fairway topdressing. With the rain in the forecast for the balance of the week, two men with topdressing units will put in a long day, and go out to try and complete all the fairways before the end of the day.
The sand will again help dilute the thatch in the turf and provide a smoother, firmer surface for more ball roll distance and tighter lies.
This morning the greens and tees will be cut, the bunkers raked and the rough around tees and bunker surrounds mowed. The trim routine around the tee decks will be carried out.
Bobbex deer repellent spray is being applied to the ornamentals this morning which will explain the garlicky odour in the air.
The London Hunt Club is hosting the LPGA CP Canadian Women's Open this week. We will be cheering on 16 year old Brooke Henderson from Smiths Falls, Ontario (runner-up at this year's US amateur)
