Great Weather Continues

Yesterday was arguably the best day of the golf season weather wise here at the club. Today, that beautiful weather is going to continue. Cool morning temperatures will rise to around 25 for the afternoon. It will be a bit humid, making it feel like 29, but with a slight breeze out of the southwest.

This morning on the course; the blocks will be rotated, the greens will be cut/ rolled, the bunkers will be raked and the pins will be changed.

This coming week on the golf course, there will be a few important jobs taking place. We have a bunker blitz planned for later in the week. This will evolve a large portion of the crew going around checking sand depths in the bunkers. Sand will be moved around and added where needed.

The second project is the verticutting of the greens. This will be followed by sand. This process has minimal disruption and is very beneficial to the putting surface. Due to the recent application of fertilizer, the recovery process will be optimal.

We are very happy to now bring you a new segment in our blog that doesn't have to do with maintaining turf! I know you're all excited to probably read that. We are now going to feature "Pro Shop Tips of the Week", from our golf pro, Jordan Nathan. Here are this weeks tips.

Hole 1
On your tee shot, favour the right side. All of the trouble is left of the fairway in the trees
Hole 2

The slopes on this green are very subtle. Don’t play as much break as it appears on your putts
 Hole 3
Make sure that you use enough club on your approach shot, as the severe slope off the front of the green will cause balls to roll back
Hole 4
Favour the left side on you tee shot; balls too far to the right will be blocked out by the large tree

Enjoy the continued beautiful weather and have a great round!
