Yesterday the temperature dropped as the day went on as it went from 26 degrees at midnight to 20 degrees at noon hour. It was a great drying day for the course with the high winds. The evapotranspiration reading from the weather station was .19 inches.
Today Environment Canada a mix of sun and cloud in the morning then clearing near noon. Wind northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50. High 18. UV index 8 or very high. Tonight will be clear with wind west 20 km/h becoming light this evening and temperatures falling to plus 4. Primo Maxx spray on greens will be delayed on greens until tomorrow due to windy condtions.
Golf carts ARE PERMITTED for use today on the course. Please exercise caution and avoid low wet areas.
The FAIRWAY VERTICUTTING is nearing completion with only holes 6, 7 and 8 remaining to complete. The FAIRWAY TOPDRESSING will continue today to complete the front 9 and a couple holes on the back 9 during the Ladies lunch hour at the clubhouse.

Starting today the new StrikeGuard Lightning Early Warning system is being installed which should be fully operational by next week. The system will automatically sound the newly installed sirens when lightning is detected within 8 kilometers of the course. After the siren has sounded, a strobe will keep flashing until the 'all clear' signal has gone off - when there has been no lightning stirikes within 8 kilometers for 30 minutes.
