Greens vented and rolled this morning |
Unfortunately Ladies' Day was cancelled yesterday as the storm that rolled through in the early morning hung around and didn't pass through as expected. Carts were suspended for the day as 47 mm rain fell in the rain bucket. Not to say we didn't need the rain... but not at the expense of missing a full day's event.
Golf carts ARE permitted today. Please avoid low, wet areas and use cart paths were provided. Green speed is 8.5 feet with excessive moisture levels. Remember to repair ball marks as soft greens will mark quite easily.
Environment Canada is calling for it to be sunny today with fog patches dissipating this morning. High 29. UV index 9 or very high. Tonight: Clear. Low 13.
Greens will be vented and rolled this morning to relieve stress from recent heat wave by allowing air and water to enter the rootzone. A light topdressing will be applied later in the day if drier conditions prevail to prep greens for upcoming Club Champs next weekend.
Work on driving range tee and chipping green had to be postponed yesterday due to storm activity through the day.
