No. 1 Green After Aeration |
The course aeration in now completed and all the sand topdressing, seed and fertilizer has been put down to finish the process of preparing our greens, tees and approaches for the upcoming busy, hot summer season. The greens look great and should play pretty well despite just being aerated. The smaller 1/4" tines as I mentioned are pretty "golfer friendly" and do the necessary job without sacrificing the playability of the greens at this time of year. We look forward to seeing the results in the coming weeks of the establishment of the T-1 bentgrass in the aeration holes to promote a stronger, more competative turfgrass to compete against the Poa annua.
The driving range tee will be aerated first thing this morning and overseeded with the
CSI-Rye™ perennial ryegrass which was awarded for its unique growth habit that continuously spreads via reproductive tillers unlike the “normal” perennial ryegrasses that NEVER spread.
Environment Canada is calling for some progressively warmer, sunny weather over the next few days with Saturday reaching 29 degrees. Today will reach a high of 24 and UV index very high.
Golf carts ARE PERMITTED. Please use cart paths where provided and keep back 30 yards from green surrounds.
A reminder that tee times go back to 7am starting next week.
Enjoy your round!
