June 13th

The back 9 will re-close today, taking advantage of the scheduled rain date to complete green and tee core aeration on the back 9.  Yesterday's storm activity early in the day put a damper on having the aeration completed Tuesday.

It should be a perfect day to perform the aeration process with Environment Canada predicting a mix of sun and cloud to start the day, then becoming sunny this morning with a high 22. UV index 7 or high. Tonight: Clear with a low below 10 of 8 degrees.

Golf carts ARE PERMITTED for full use on the front 9 today.  Greens are rolling pretty nice despite just being aerated.  The 1/4" tines are "golfer friendly" and allow the removal of a moderate amount of thatch while enabling a quick recovery of the playing surfaces.

The driving range will be closed for maintenance today and be re-opened before 12pm.

Greens and tees on the back 9 will be topdressed today following aeration.  The greens were overseeded with T-1 bentgrass to establish a competitive turfgrass that can compete against poa and provide a truer putting surface.  All the approaches will also receive another light dusting of sand topdress to help fill in 1/2" holes from coring.

A reminder that tee times go back to 7 am next week to start the summer season.

Have a great round!
