June 21st

Arrr!!!
It's the first day of summer and this afternoon is the Ladies' Member Guest golf event at 1pm!

Today Environment Canada is calling for it to be sunny this morning and early this afternoon then a mix of sun and cloud with 30 percent chance of showers late this afternoon. Risk of a thunderstorm late this afternoon. High 32 except 27 near Georgian Bay. UV index 9 or very high. Tonight: Cloudy with 30 percent chance of showers early this evening and risk of a thunderstorm. Clearing this evening. Low 14.

Golf carts ARE PERMITTED.  Please scatter cart traffic and use cart paths where provided and stay back 30 yards from green surrounds.

The tees are experiencing some feeding damage to the poa from the annual bluegrass weevil.  We put down an additional spray yesterday morning to target the larvae still active in the turf.  We are going to overseed the tees this morning and lightly topdress to get some seed growing in the aeration  hole depressions that still remain.  This will be matted in well before this afternoon's event.

A reminder that greens and tees will be topdressed this coming Tuesday morning June 26th.

Ladies have a great event!
