July 11th

Diseased Elm tree removed yesterday on No. 12
It's Ladies' Day this morning with a shotgun starting at 8 am.

Make sure you wear your sun screen because it will be another hot day with Environment Canada  predicting it to be sunny with a high of 27. UV index 8 or very high. Tonight: Clear. Low 11.

The driving range will be closed for its Wednesday maintenance from 9:30 to 12:30 this morning.

Greens will be cut and rolled this morning prior to play.

Some areas in the deep rough are getting extremely dry with the drought conditions.  Many of these areas rely on water from the sprinklers on the fairways which don't need to be watered as regularly.  Therefore, some roller base sprinklers will be placed throughout isolated areas on the course to water these areas and avoid overwatering the fairways.

An irrigation leak right of No. 4 green will be repaired today so we apologize for any disruption this may cause.

The process of overseeding select thin poa annua areas on No. 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15 greens and No.  3, 4, 8 and 10 tees was completed yesterday.  These areas will be babied along for the next week or so to establish some hardy bentgrass and make a long term improvement to turf conditions in these weak areas.  The  poa (annual bluegrass) has lost the battle with the heat in these areas.

Have a great round!
