July 19th

Annual bluegrass weevil grubs sprayed this morning on front 9

Another little cooler night in Muskoka with temps dipped down to 16 overnight to give the turf a much needed break.  Today it is supposed to be a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 26. UV index 8 or very high. Tonight: Clearing with a low down to 12 degrees.

This morning there are two sprays going out on the course.  On the greens spray will be a mix of ALIETTE SIGNATURE and DACONIL to fight anthracnose and pythium disease.  The rough and fairways will be sprayed with PYRATE insecticide to control the 2nd generation of Annual Bluegrass Weevil that has been able to develop with the warmer temperatures this season.

Carts are permitted but please SCATTER cart traffic and KEEP ON FAIRWAYS to avoid driving over any stressed dormant turf that has no ability to recover from intense traffic with heat and drought.

There was an irrigation break down at the driving range yesterday that was repaired and water will be re-pressurized to the area first thing this morning.

Have a great round.
