September 6th

Today we welcome participants to the 33rd Men's Invitational Tournament!

According to Tournament Convenors Rob McConnell & Sandy Stephens "As in the past, this year's event promises to be one filled with great camaraderie and spirited competition."

Today is the practice round with tee times throughout the day.

Daily over the last few days a trace of rain has fallen keeping the course more on the softer side.  Therefore the course is not playing as fast and firm as of late, and the green speeds are moderately fast.  The warmer nights closer to 20 degrees have contributed towards more growth then usual for this time of year with norms in the single digits.

Today Environment Canada is calling for clearing and fog dissipating this morning. High 24. UV index 5 or moderate. Tonight:  A few clouds will roll in with a low of 13. Friday: There calling for increasing cloudiness with a 60 percent chance of showers in the afternoon with a risk of a thunderstorm and a high of 24.

Please keep golf carts on paths whenever possible and avoid getting too close to green surrounds indicated by the white lines.

Caution! - Ground nest on No. 14 sod wall bunker
There is a couple of ground hornets nests in the sod wall bunker right of No. 14 green.  We have sprayed the nests a couple times and they are not yet controlled 100%.  So the bunker is being played today as a "free relief" and the ball is to be played from the drop area front right of the green.

Enjoy your few days!
