September 8th

Over two inches of rain fell last night since midnight before today's final round
Today is the final round of the 33rd Men's Invitational Tournament.  The course was starting to dry out nicely yesterday and the greens were starting to pick up speed.

Last night Environment Canada's prediction became reality and the course received over 2 inches of rainfall leaving the front 9 unplayable.

After touring the course with the senior management team, the committee has determined that play today will be a 9-hole double shotgun, on the back nine - making this a 27 hole tournament. The first shotgun will start at 10:30, the second at 1:30. A bbq lunch will be served in the main dining room starting at 12:30 For this evening, the program will be adjusted as well, with cocktails will now be starting at 6:00; dinner will be served at 7:30 sharp.

Golf carts ARE permitted on the BACK 9 for the final round but we will require participants to USE CAUTION, STAY HIGH AND DRY, AND STAY ON CART PATHS where provided.  A list of golf cart restricted areas will be included on a page with your score card.

We regret the greens will NOT be cut or rolled this morning with the excess moisture.  Therefore the speeds will be slower than yesterday's round.  Please remember to repair your ball marks as the greens will be extra soft.  The crew has worked hard this morning to get the back 9 into a playable state.

Hope you enjoy the remainder of the tournament and we look forward to seeing you back again next year!
