GOLF CART USAGE

COURSE CONDITIONS

OARS sprayed on greens before rounds this morning to alleviate localized dry spots

Greens - Yellow flagsticks are back out.  Greens will will cut today and target rolled.  OARS wetting agent will be applied this morning on greens using both sprayers to stay ahead of the golfers.  OARS improves movement of water into and through the soil matrix by reducing humic substance coatings on sand soil particles.  It therefore deals with the cause of water repellency. OARS is the corrective approach to remove the build-up of organic acids that coat the surface of sand particle which cause water repellency and localized dry spot conditions.

Gently hand dimpling and bentgrass overseeding will be done on No. 17 later today
Later today, spot dimpling and overseeding on No. 17 green will be done to promote more bentgrass in thinned out Poa areas.
Fairways - Were mowed today.
Rough - The rough mowers will focus on tee and bunker surrounds today.
Bunkers - All greenside bunkers were fan raked this morning.  All fairway bunkers were raked with the Sand Pro mechanical rake.
Ground Under Repair - Treat all new sodded areas IN ROUGH as 'ground under repair'.  No. 18 fairway has been overseeded to recover ice damage.  Treat any bare areas on No. 18 as 'ground under repair'.
Course Etiquette - Please remember to repair ball marks and replace divots.  If carrying your golf bag and using the sand tubes, please use on FAIRWAYS ONLY.  Do not use sand tubes or bottles to fix tee divots!!!  It's the golf course maintenance staff responsibility to repair all tee divots on a periodic basis.  Using the sand and seed mix on tees will deplete your available material for fixing fairway divots prematurely!  We also use a different seed on the tees for shadier conditions and quicker germination.

Drain lines and wetwell at driving range will be hydrovacced to clear debris today
Driving Range - The Driving Range remains open for PARTIAL USE ONLY. We ask that you hit only from the stations that are set up, and only at the flagsticks set up (yardages are indicated on the permanent marker). The range will be closed during certain times to hand pick as needed, and for Junior Clinics. Thank you for your understanding during this wet season with high lake levels.  It's been a battle!  With the drier weather the water levels are dropping and ditches are getting lower allowing us to get ahead of the standing water.
The debris in the pump chamber from the repeated flooding of the range will be hydro vacuumed today to increase the pump station efficiency.  The pumps will need to be pulled out to complete this process and reinstalled before the end of the day.
Gardens - Today the annual beds will be fertilized and the clubhouse hand mowing routine will be completed.

Have a great round!
