WEATHER CONDITIONS
 Yesterday was a bit of a cooler day with highs only reaching 25, and the overnight low getting down to 13. Today's  high will be 23 and sunny, and a UV index of 7 or high.

GOLF CART USAGE

Golf carts are available for FULL USE today on the course.  Please avoid any low lying wet areas from yesterday's rainfall.  Please use cart paths where provided whenever possible and scatter traffic over turf area to avoid creating compaction that will require aerification.

COURSE CONDITIONS



Greens - Were cut and rolled today.  Expect green speeds to be rolling at 9.5 this morning, and increasing to 10 by this afternoon.  Newly sodded areas on greens 1, 2 and 10 made it through the extreme heat and were topdressed Friday.  We will start the process mowing down these areas on Monday morning.  Greens 14 and 17 where the unsodded portion was sprayed with Velocity to reduce the presence of Poa annua (annual bluegrass) within creeping bentgrass/Poa mixed stands of turf, is showing signs of recovery now with the bentgrass now germinated from the 3x slitseeding A couple of weeks ago! This week we dimple seeded some of the worst areas for added recovery going forward.
Tees - Divots on par 3's and short par 4's were filled yesterday. Remember NOT to use the divot mix on your carts for tees, as our staff has a different mix for them.
Fairways - Were mowed at the end of the week.
Rough - We are all caught up on our rough mowing and the hot and dry weather has made it much easier to play from it also.
Bunkers - Greenside bunkers will be hand-raked with fan rakes today.  Fairway bunkers will be spun with the Sand Pro rake.  We are starting a trial of new bunker sands down at the range.  Give them a try and give us your feedback!
Ground Under Repair - Treat all new sodded areas IN ROUGH as 'ground under repair'.  No. 18 fairway has been overseeded to recover ice damage.  Treat any bare areas on No. 18 as 'ground under repair'.

Course Etiquette - Please remember to repair ball marks and replace divots.  If carrying your golf bag and using the sand tubes, please use on FAIRWAYS ONLY.  Do not use sand tubes or bottles to fix tee divots!!!  It's the golf course maintenance staff responsibility to repair all tee divots on a periodic basis.  Using the sand and seed mix on tees will deplete your available material for fixing fairway divots prematurely!  We also use a different seed on the tees for shadier conditions and quicker germination.

Driving Range - Due to this week's rainfall, the Driving Range remains open for PARTIAL USE ONLY. The range will be closed during certain times to hand pick as needed, and for Junior Clinics. Thank you for your understanding during this wet season with high lake levels.The hydro vac truck was in this week to unblock some debris out of main basins which will help with the efficiency of the drainage.

Gardens - Lillies grown on site in our cut flower garden have made a nice addition to table tops in the clubhouse this season thanks to our garden crew!

Plant Protection - Greens will be sprayed with Heritage Maxx, and Daconil Ultrex today to prevent the growth of dollar spot.

Upcoming Maintenance - Greens will be Vented and topdressed on Tuesday July 23rd.
