Club Championship Day 2

It should be an exciting day for golf as the leaderboard after round 1 of the Club Championship looks tight over the various flights of competition, with anyone able to potentially capture a win after today's final round!

Expect a repeat day weather-wise of yesterday's round 1 with temperatures of 26 degrees with very low humidity.  Greens were cut and rolled this morning.  The greens today will be slightly firmer and faster with the sustained drying conditions.  Again expect No. 14 and 17 to be slightly slower with the higher mowing heights being maintained at the moment while recuperating the turf.

For those who wish to cheer on the final groups of the championship, be down around the 18th green at approximately 2:30.  It should be an exciting finish to the 2013 event!

We expect to continue the excellent course conditions for tomorrow's Men's day, so if you missed a chance to play this weekend, be sure to get out for tomorrow's afternoon round!

Tuesday morning the greens will receive their monthly venting and topdressing.  The thin spots on greens will be overseeded to aid in further recovery especially on greens 5, 7, 14, 17 and 18.  Fairways will also be topdressed this coming week.

With two and a half weeks to the Men's Invitational, we expect to see further recovery of any weak turf areas with this favourable time of year for growth.

Enjoy the great conditions!
