Club Championship Day 1

Welcome participants to the 2013 Club Championships!  The Greens crew has the course nicely prepared for this weekend's competition and the weather has finally cooperated!

Greens have gained speed over the last couple of days with the brush-double cutting and rolling and are now closer to 11 on the stimpmeter!  Today the greens will be single-cut and rolled in time for the 6:40 am tee times.  The fairways have gained some speed as well with the extra dry brush-cut this week on Wednesday afternoon so expect a little more roll!

Be aware that greens No. 14 and 17 will be a little slower with their nurtured higher height of cut.

Competitors will play from either the green (women) or black (men) tees.  A mix of fair pin and block placements have been chosen for both days.

Today will remain dry and mainly sunny with a high of 26 degrees.  With these conditions, expect the greens to further dry out and firm up and add a little speed for Sunday's round.

The bunker sand trial continues at the Driving Range south bunker at the chipping green.  Please take the time to try the sands and submit your rating on the provided forms on porch of the driving range hut.

Have a great round!
