This week marks the closing of both the Men's and Ladies' golf day events. Yesterday's Men's Day was well attended with the perfect warm day out on the course with sunny sky's and a high of 27 degrees.
Just over 20 members participated in yesterday's Bunker Sand Demo day down at the range. A lot of great questions were answered by the Hutcheson technical reps that were on location. Jordan's sand play instruction gave member's some great new hope in lowering their scores hitting out of the bunkers. We appreciate the feedback, and the winners of the two draws will be announced in the Club's upcoming email blast this Friday.

Bunker Sand Demo Day yesterday at the range |
The crew started the morning early and was soon called in by a thunderstorm that ripped through the area dropping 8mm of rain onto the course. Golf carts ARE PERMITTED today for full use, but please avoid the low lying areas and use cart paths where provided to avoid travelling over wet turf. Remember to fix your ball marks as the greens will be a touch soft after the heavy rain.
The greens and tees were cut and the bunkers raked this morning, however with the soft conditions following this morning's thunderstorm, the greens topdressing will be postponed till Thursday August 28th.
There is still space available for the 10th Annual Mixed-Member Guest “Black & White” Tournament, Sunday, August 31. Registration forms in the Pro Shop and Main Office.
The crew works hard to prepare the course each and every morning to meet your expectations. The shorter morning daylight hours adds to the challenge. During Sunday morning's shotgun, some members teed off 10 minutes before the scheduled 8am start time. While that doesn't seem like a lot of time (10 minutes), it represents the time it may take for one of our staff members to finish their final green, or bunker. A staff member's safety could be compromised who is not yet aware of your presense. Please don't jump the gun and abide by the set tee times for golf. Thanks for your cooperation.
Have a great round!
