Final Mixed Event Of The Year

Warm temperatures will continue today for the final mixed event of the year here at the club. With temperatures expected to reach the high 20's and the course firming up very nicely, a day on the course is the perfect way to spend your Sunday.

This morning on the course, blocks and pins will be rotated, greens will be mowed, rolled and bunkers will be raked.

This week is another important week for us here in the greens department. With our greens aeration coming up in a few weeks, a firm and consistent putting surface is the ideal condition for pulling a core. In order for that to happen, we will continue on our regular topdressing schedule and topdress greens on Tuesday, August 26.

There are still a few wet areas on the course that we please ask that you respect and avoid. A few of the native soil greens, especially in lower areas, are still soft and are very prone to aggressive ball marks. Please remember to track them down and fix them.

Don't forget to join us tomorrow at the range between 12 and 1 for our Bunker Sand Demo Day. There will be a draw for a sand wedge for all those who participate in the trial and fill out the survey. Hutcheson Sand company representatives will be in attendance to answer any technical questions about the various sands. Jordan will also provide some instruction on bunker shots to all participants who want to improve on their sand save percentage! We hope to see you on the 25th, and make sure you come by after your round if you're playing in the morning shotgun! There will also be a prize for some Blue Jays tickets as well so don't miss out!

Enjoy the day and have a great round!
