Another Beautiful Weekend

Another beautiful weekend is upon us here in Muskoka. It will be a great day for golf as temperatures are suppose to hit the high 20's with clear sky's. The UV index and humidity are suppose to both be high, so remember your sunscreen and water!
This morning on the course, blocks will be rotated, pins will be changed, greens will be mowed and bunkers will be raked.
The course has received a large amount of rain over the week and this has resulted in some soft conditions. Low areas continue to be wet and should try and be avoided with carts. Carts are permitted for full use but please watch out for those low areas.
Also due to the soft conditions, ball marks will be more of an issue than usual. Please try and find that ball mark and fix it.
Due to almost zero foot traffic and delicate maintenance, our new sod beds on 15 and 17 are doing very well. Some of you may have seen Bartlett here this week to prune up the Pines next to the sod beds. This pruning has greatly improved the morning sun quality on the greens sod bed and will result in stronger, healthier turf.
