Drizzle Continues But Cart Restriction Lifted As Standing Water Drains After Heavy Rains

The radar is looking pretty clear at the moment as showers are supposed to end early this morning. However there's still a 40% chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms in the area through Saturday with a trace of rain expected.

Carts permitted but please avoid wet areas!

The standing water on the course has had a chance to drain.  Golf carts ARE PERMITTED for full use today but please avoid low lying wet areas.  Keep carts 'high and dry' and on paths at all times where provided.  Remember to fix your ball marks as the greens will be softer than normal and mark-up much easier.

Heavy fog started our day to prepare the course for this weekend's play.  It's already challenging enough to see in the darkness of the morning with the shorter daylight hours.  The greens were cut and rolled and the pins rotated.  The collars, approaches and fairways were mowed along with the green surround rough.  The bunkers were raked and any remaining standing water pumped out.

Member Input Needed in Bunker Sand Trial August 25th

Don't forget to join us for this Monday's BUNKER SAND TRIAL down at the range. Whether you playing in the morning shotgun or the afternoon Men's day, come out and take part in the activities between 12:00pm and 1:00pm!  There is a draw for a sand wedge for all members who participate in rating the four sands in the trial by filling out a comment card.  Technical representatives from Hutcheson Sand Company will be on location to answer any questions members may have about the sands.  There will also be a prize for some Blue Jays tickets as well so don't miss out!
