Soaked

Our title today says it all. The course is soaked. Yesterdays predicted rainfall was a little off as we got more then expected, with even more on the way. So far, the course has received 45mm of rain with another 2-4mm expected throughout the day. As mentioned yesterday, the course was still a little wet in places but was starting to firm up nicely. This has been put to an abrupt halt with the rain we have received.
Right side of number 1.

Due to the amount of rain we have received and with more to come, carts will NOT permitted for use on the course today. The fairways are just too wet and going from cart path to cart path will not only be harsh on the turf from a health perspective, but it is also difficult/ dangerous to drive in some areas.
Green side bunker on 13.

This morning, the crew has been very busy. We were able to cut our dryer greens with our regular weekend mower, a tri-plex, which is a ride-on greens mower. Because some greens were still fairly wet, a few crew members went out and walk mowed the softer greens. This is the least stressful way for us to cut when conditions are wet. Other crew members have been out cutting dryer rough areas and pumping bunkers.

Enjoy your round and try to stay dry!
