Course Update For May Long Weekend

It looks like the weather has finally turned for the better after some prolonged cool weather just in time for the May 24th weekend.  For many, it will be the first time back this season, so here's what to expect out on the golf course.

Tee Times and Driving Range

The tee times begin at 8 am and the driving range is fully open.

Sand and Seed

The Proshop have filled the sand and seed bottles in carts starting this weekend.  Remember not to fill tee divots with the seed bottles.  Just fill divots on the fairways only.  The maintenance staff look after filling the tee divots.

Be Cautious Around New Bunkers

The newly constructed bunkers last fall (4, 5, 16 and 18) are open for play.  Please avoid walking up the steep slopes until the sod has more time to fully knit.  Always enter and exit the bunkers on the low side to avoid causing damage.

10th Hole Open for Weekend

The 10th green will reopen for the weekend.  The bunkers under construction are obviously played as ground under repair.  Avoid walking near the trenches at the base of the bunkers to prevent caving in the material under the liners.  Plywood has been placed over the trench to prevent balls from entering.

Sand Replaced In Bunkers No. 8 Fairway and No. 9 Green

The old contaminated sand was removed, the drainage inspected, and new sand put in on No. 9 Green.  We replaced the sand with the new sand that has been used in the new bunkers for consistency going forward.  The work on No. 8 hasn't been completed yet, so please treat those bunkers on the left side of the fairway as 'ground under repair'.

Recovery From 13 Green Drainage Installation

PC drainage was installed in No. 13 green the middle of last week (see post for details).  With the lack of growth with the cool weather, the slits haven't recovered yet so you can still see the rows where the rope and sand was placed.  This is more of an aesthetic detail and shouldn't affect the ball roll much.  The green has been rolled many times to smooth the surface from the recent operation.

Welcome back and have a great weekend!
