May 26th

Apple trees in full bloom around 9 tee

A little bit of rain overnight equivalent to a night's irrigation cycle which we don't need at this point.  Today Environment Canada says that a few showers will be ending early this morning then cloudy. Showers beginning near noon. Amount 10 to 20 mm. High 14. UV index 5 or moderate.

The course is reaching the saturation point if 20mm of rain falls later.  Carts ARE PERMITTED at this time due to the low volume of traffic this time of year.  However, we may have to suspend cart use if we get another 20mm later today.

We are trying to demostrate a fairway verticut unit on the approach to 16 today.  This process will be conducted on our fairways next week followed by fairway topdressing to remove and delute the excessive thatch on the fairways.

Yesterday's Club-wide training went well yesterday at the clubhouse.  Nearly sixty employees attended the health & safety/environmental focused program delivered by the management team of the various departments.
