May 10th

All fairway topdressing completed today No. 18 last one!
The course is really starting to come together.  By the long weekend things should be looking pristine for this time of year.  Greens were cored aerated before opening and topdressed and recovering nicely.  The fairways were verticut, overseeded and topdressed and showing signs of strengthened turf.  The regular mowing routine around tees and bunkers has started this week.  Fairway topdressing will be completed today.  And No. 14 and No. 17 tees will be sodded.

Next week we will get the sod down around the clubhouse and select course areas, aerate and overseed the green surrounds, verticut and topdress the tees, and start further work on bunkers.

Today Environment Canada is calling for it to be mainly sunny with wind becoming northwest 20 km/h this afternoon. High 15. UV index 5 or moderate. Tonight: Clear with wind northwest 20 km/h becoming light this evening. Low plus 4.

Golf carts ARE PERMITTED for full use today.  Please avoid wet low areas and use cart paths where provided.  Tee times go back to 9 a.m. this Saturday May 12th.

Have a great round!
