May 9th

Fertilizer will be watered in after application
Today Environment Canada is calling for mainly sunny with increasing cloudiness near noon with 40 percent chance of showers this afternoon. Risk of thunderstorms this afternoon. Fog patches dissipating this morning with a High of 16 and UV index 5 or moderate. Tonight will be cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers this evening and risk of thunderstorms. The Low will be plus 4.

Today Fairway topdressing will continue and Greens will be fertilized with an Ammonium Sulphate based product. The product temporarily acidifies the pH in the soil helping suppress the activity of summer patch. We will also be slit seeding the approaches on 13, 16 and 17 fairway with Tyee creeping bentgrass before they are topdressed. Sod work will also continue on 6 approach, 14 and 17 tees.
