Today and the weekend Environment Canada is calling for showers. Amount 10 mm today with temperature steady near 15. Tonight: Showers continue with wind southeast to southwest 20 gusting to 40 with a low of 10. Saturday: Predicting 15 mm of rain with wind southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming west 50 gusting to 70 in the morning. Temperature steady near 12.
Golf carts ARE permitted at this time. However, use caution and please avoid low areas and keep carts on paths where provided. Green speed is 8 feet with accumulated moisture and higher mowing heights.
The weather has really fallen off the rails during the last few days. This has made it rather challenging with the conditions less than ideal for the cultural practices underway that had been delayed until this week. Sand on green expansion areas has been difficult to brush in with wet weather.
Solid tine aerating continues today to complete front 9 |
Solid tine aeration of the fairways continues today. Holes 1-5 are complete with the remainder of the front 9 to be finished by the end of the day. Topdressing of fairways will begin next week after remainder of the course is aerated.
