It's less than a week away from our anticipated course opening this coming Friday April 27th. There's still a chill in the air and looking at the forecast there's mixed precipitation predicted early this week with highs below double-digits through the weekend, which may make for a rocky start. However as long as the sun is shining it would be nice to open our doors to golf for another season two weeks earlier than last year.
The course overwintered extremely well. There is little to no ice damage or snow mould to speak of after the mild, short winter with no snow cover until after Christmas and early snow melt late March with the record breaking extreme high temperatures. The weather gave us an earlier start to get on the golf course and remove the greens covers well before the Masters Tournament.
