Bunker edging/sand placement commences today |
Another hot day yesterday and warm night last night. Today temperatures are supposed to finally break with a high of only 25 degrees predicted and lows getting down to 12 degrees this evening. This will be a much needed break to help the turf get through this stressful period and bounce back.
Today (Tuesday) greens will be given a much needed break after a busy weekend and Men's Day and not cut (only rolled).
Bunker edging and sand placement monitoring will commence this morning on a hole by hole basis.
Fairway Primo Maxx + foliar fertilizer application today |
The putting green was dimple seeded with bentgrass yesterday to further help recover thin areas from declining poa annua grass in that hot location. There was a great amount of bentgrass emerging from slit-seeding done a couple of weeks ago.
Golf carts are permitted. However just a reminder to avoid travelling over stressed dormant turf areas to prevent further damage and allow recovery of these areas. Keep to cart paths where ever possible. Please fix divots and ball marks.
Have a great round!
