August 2nd

Old 100 and 200 yard OGA markers replaced with granite markers for better visibility

Today will be another hot one with a mix of sun and cloud with fog patches dissipating this morning and a high of 29.  The UV index is 7 or high. Tonight: Partly cloudy with 40 percent chance of showers this evening and risk of a thunderstorm. Clearing near midnight. Low 14.

The stressed drought areas on the course seemed to rebound slightly after Tuesday's rain.

A spray of Rovral Green fungicide was applied yesterday starting after the Ladies' Day to select fairways to control dollar spot disease which has developed with the favorable weather.  A greens fungicide spray of Heritage and Daconil was also sprayed on the back 9 yesterday, with the front 9 being completed this morning.  The tees will be sprayed with Primo Maxx and foliar fertilizer this morning prior to play.

The bunker edging and ditch grooming will continue today in prep for the busy weekend.

The Course Comment box will be installed behind No. 18 green prior to the weekend.  Please feel free to submit your feedback on the Course Comment Sheets available in the drawer of the box.

The old broken 100 and 200 yard OGA markers have been replaced with new granite yardage indicators the same as the 75, 125, 175 yard markers to help speed up play on the course.

Have a great round!
