Thus concludes another successful Men's Invite! The course was looking and playing fantastic for the three day event. September and October are typically when golf course conditions are the best and this past weekend really showcased this. Members should look forward to continued exceptional golf weather throughout September and October.

This week is a busy week for the turf center staff. With ideal growing and recovering conditions upon us, a very important agronomical practice is here. Fall aeration is a procedure almost every golf course does near the end of the season. Besides the removal of unwanted decaying turf (thatch), aeration holes provide areas for new root growth. This is important going into the winter because the turf plant stores large amounts of its carbohydrates in the root to survive throughout the winter months. Aeration also helps with better surface drainage of water. This is also very important during the winter months to try and prevent ice forming on the greens surface. We thank you for your patience during this very important time.

This morning, our crew: mowed the greens, changed blocks and garbage, raked the bunkers and switched the tournament pins back to the regular pins (black and white to yellow and black).

Have an excellent round today!
