No frost overnight and conditions looking good for Men's Invitational Day One

The greens crew started off early again this morning with the head lights at 5:30 am to prepare surfaces for today's newly formated golf competitions for day one of the Men's Invitational.  No frost landed overnight as temperatures dipped down below 10 at midnight and remained above 7 degrees with the moderated affect of the lake till day break.  The radar looks clear and the Environment Canada is predicting sunny skies today with increasing cloudiness later in the day with a high of 21.

The pins were set last night and the greens were cut and rolled this morning to maintain speeds produced yesterday.  The drying clear, windy weather yesterday should help provide a little firmer, faster conditions for today's matches.  The fairways were roped off to remove dew and the bunkers were hand-raked.  Divots from yesterday round will be attended to before 9:00 am.  This evening the greens, fairways and approaches will be mowed prior to Saturday's competition.

Everyone seems excited to play in this year's revised format of three 9 hole match play competitions through the day starting at 9 am.

Just a reminder regarding putting on greens No's 14 and 17, all spike marks and footprints may be repaired on any part of the greens prior to putting as noted in signs placed on tee.

Enjoy today's competition!
